Time for the next installment of our Equipment Update, and this one includes the Adams driver pictured at right, plus the Nike mallet that Michelle Wie put into play at the Fields Open last week.There's also a high-performance ball for women from Callaway, junior clubs from La Jolla Club and a new company named Fairway Girls, plus self-adhesive golf cleats that can turn even your smelliest sneakers into golf shoes.

Adams RPM 460 Ti Driver: The Adams RPM 460 Ti driver was launched as a complement to the RPM Low Profile Fairway Woods and the RPM Dual Driver. This one boasts a 460cc head with a 16-gram fixed weight positioned to produce a center of gravity that promotes a higher launch and lower spin. Nike Oz Black T130 Oversized Mallet: Michelle Wie put it into play on the pro tours at the LPGA Fields Open. Now Nike is making it available to everyone else as of March 1. The Oz Black T130 has the highest MOI of any putters in the Oz line, due in part to the two 65-gram tungsten weights that are positioned rearward in the extreme heel and toe of the clubhead. It comes in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches. It will retail for $169. Nike Golf Web site
Callaway HX Pearl Ball: The HX Pearl golf ball is the first high-performance ball from Callaway designed specifically to women. The HX Pearl is designed to offer distance with a soft feel, using the same HEX aerodynamics found in Callaway's HX Tour and HX Tour 56 balls, but this balls is geared for slower swing speeds. The HX Pearl also includes a pearlized-finish cover that produces a lustrous, easy-to-spot outer covering. The Callaway HX Tour carries and MSRP of $32 per dozen.
LJC Junior Titanium Driver: La Jolla Club has added a 450cc titanium driver to its lineup of junior clubs. La Jolla Club's Junior Titanium Driver features a new Super Flex® graphite shaft designed for use with the larger titanium club head. Rede Golf Cleats: What are "Rede" cleats? They are disposable, self-adhesive soft cleats that attach to the sole of any type of shoe, turning any shoe into a golf shoe. They are red and in the shape of the letter "e," hence the company name. A package of 20 retails for $19.95. Rede Golf Web site
Premium Equipment for Girls: Fairway Girl is the name of a company that makes premium golf equipment specifically for young girls, ages toddler through 8 years. The equipment is durable and lightweight, and clubs can be purchased individually or as starter sets (5-piece set for ages 3-5; 6-piece set for ages 6-8). The clubs are packaged to appeal to young girls, with pink and purple the primary colors. There are also pink and purple balls, and Putting Chimes, a putting instructional tool. Fairway Girl Web site
