Callaway Golf has a crop of new woods and hybrids ready to hit the market within the next few weeks. Among them are the X460 Driver, X Fairway Woods, and the Fusion FT-Hybrids. In addition, Odyssey, a division of Callaway, unveils its White Steel Tri-Ball SRT putter (pictured). • Infiniti Assure Irons: The Assure Irons from Infiniti feature what the company calls a "dual flange sole." This design element, the company says, effectively creates two soles - one allows the golfer to hit down on the ball in traditional iron style; the second prevents digging and acts as stabilizer to minimize twisting. • Cleveland CG11 Black Pearl Wedge: The latest addition to Cleveland's CG11 wedge lineup is the Black Pearl. The CG11 Black Pearl wedge features a slightly larger sole that is wider towards the heel and toe and narrows in the center. The goal is to help golfer maintain clubhead stability through impact. The club's name comes from Black Pearl finish, which reduces glare and helps frame the ball at address. • Ecco "Patriotic" Shoes: The "Patriotic Collection" of golf shoes from Ecco is based on the American-flag-inspired shoes the company created for its Tour staff member Juli Inkster and her teammates at the 2005 Solheim Cup. The shoes are white-based with red-white-and-blue highlights. Based on popular demand for the special edition shoe, a one-time-only production run will be offered for sale.
