What are some of the newest products to hit the market? Wilson Staff and PowerBilt each have new sets of irons ready for golfers. Zelocity checks in with a small, personal ball-speed monitor. And proving that everything old is new again, the Fat Lady Swings Putter is back in style from MacGregor and Bobby Grace.

Wilson Staff Ci6 Irons: The Ci6 Irons are new to the Wilson Staff lineup for 2006. They are specifically aimed at the 10-16 handicap range, and fit between the Pi5 (Performance) and Di5 (Distance) irons in the Wilson Staff lineup. (The "C" in Ci6 stands for "Control"). For example, the Ci6 irons have a head that is larger than those on Pi5 irons, but smaller than Di5 heads. The progressive top-line and offset of the midsized, cast Ci6 are wider and greater than the Pi5, but thinner and less than the Di5, respectively. The Wilson Staff Ci6 Irons carry an MSRP of $599 with graphite shafts and $499 with steel shafts. Wilson Staff website

PowerBilt TPS Wide-Soled Irons: The newest irons from PowerBilt employ a 4-way tour grind, super-wide sole, hence the name: Wide-Soled. The PowerBilt TPS Wide-Soled Irons also feature a cavity on the back of the clubhead filled with a lighter, vibration dampening composite material, and the weight saved is replaced by two tungsten injections at the bottom of the clubhead. The set includes Nos. 3 and 4 hybrid clubs, and 5-PW Wide-Soled Irons. With graphite shafts, the MSRP is $549; with steel shafts, $499. PowerBilt website

Fat Lady Swings Putter: It ain't over for the Fat Lady Swings. The Fat Lady Swings putter by Bobby Grace debuted in 1994 and put Grace on the map as a putter designer. Grace has since joined MacGregor, where his putter designs have continued to enjoy great success.

Now Grace and MacGregor are bringing back and updating the Fat Lady Swings. It's milled from aircraft-grade aluminum for a lightweight body; 195 grams worth of weights are strategically placed around the head, creating extreme moment of inertia. The new Fat Lady Swings putter carries an MSRP of $179.99; an optional adjustable heel-toe weight kit is also available. MacGregor website

Zelocity PureContact: This gadget is your own personal ball speed monitor. The Zelocity PureContact is about the size of an iPod; just set it down, turn it on, and start swinging. Following each swing, the PureContact displays and records measured ball speed and carry or total distance for each shot. It works with every club in the bag. The MSRP is $395. Zelocity website
