The SasQuatch is easy to spot due to the bright yellow coloring on its sole. The idea behind the Nike SasQuatch is to search for the ideal ratio between the width of the clubface and the depth of the club head. By increasing the breadth-to-face length ratio, Nike says, a larger, more forgiving sweetspot is created. The driver also incorporates Nike's Max Bax and NexTi technologies.
The Nike SasQuatch driver will sell for $359; the Tour model for $419. For more info, read Nike's SasQuatch release. You can also view a teaser promo for the club on the Nike website.
Also new on the scene is a product aimed at junior golfers and their parents. It's called Parents as Coaches, and it's a kit whose goal is to give parents the tools they need to successfully get their children started in the game. The kit includes an instructional manual and DVD and swing tempo CD; practice iron and practice mat, and more. Check it out at parentsascoaches.com.
