Take a Kid to the Course Week

Sunday July 6, 2003
In the U.S. and Canada, the week of July 7-13 has been designated by the National Golf Course Owners Association as one in which children should be introduced to the game. And at many courses, kids will be playing free this week ...

In the States, this week is "Take your Daughter to the Course Week." Hundreds of golf courses around the U.S. will be offering free greens fees to girls who are accompanied by adults.

A list of those courses can be found by using the search form on the righthand side of this page at Get Linked Play Golf.

In Canada, NGCOA-Canada is taking a more expansive view by designating this week "Take a Kid to the Course Week." Boys and girls can play golf free, at participating courses, when accompanied by a parent.

To find participating courses in Canada, visit the NGCOA-Canada's Web site.
